People With Disabilities Received Special Wheel Chairs In Tajikistan – Our June 2018 Report In Tajikistan

People With Disabilities Received Special Wheel Chairs In Tajikistan – Our June 2018 Report In Tajikistan
Recently there have been 14 girls, 16 boys, 8 women and 13 men have received our special wheelchair. Altogether we have 51wheelchair recipients and 25 of them were under 13 years old. A large proportion of this group has Cerebral Palsy. It seems that in developing countries cerebral palsy is the most common childhood disability. The mother’s health is one of the many reasons why Cerebral Palsy is prevalent. Here are some examples:

Anaemia
Poor hygiene
Malnutrition
Infections
Cerebral palsy is one of the most common childhood disorders in the USA. Cerebral Palsy Guidance reported that

“Around 10,000 babies are born each year with cerebral palsy. From this about 41% of babies and children with cerebral palsy will have limited abilities in crawling, walking, and running. Orthopedic issues cause numerous problems for children with cerebral palsy, including poor balance, poor muscle tone, poor posture, and poor reflexes.”

Salokhiddinov is 10 years old and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. He recently received his new wheelchair from EquallyAble. Khasanova is five years old and she is also diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. She now has a brand new wheelchair from EquallyAble. We are proud to say these children are adjusting well and enjoying their new wheelchairs!

Please help us continue our wheelchair programs by donating today.
