The children with disabilities are usually among the poorest within their society and less likely to attend school, receive medical attention or even voice their concerns and opinions. Their disabilities increase the risks of physical abuse and neglection such as excluding them from proper nutrition or even humanitarian assistance in emergencies.

The discrimination of these children is based on lack of understanding and knowledge of its causes. For example, some groups believe that disabilities can contaminate others and as a result, they purposely isolate the children from the rest of the population. Some even believe kids with disabilities representation of bad luck and/or sin within the family.
Why?
Some children were not born with impairments but later in their childhood was diagnosed Children with disabilities are often ignored by humanitarian aid and are especially at risk when midst of an emergency. This is why we here due to disease, accidents or even natural disasters and war.
Another reason why children with disabilities do not attend schools is that their parents have low expectations of them. It is common for disabled children to drop out of school due to bullying by teachers, parents and other children.
