We work to help the people
Over 1 billion individuals have some form of disablity.
As many as 80% of individuals with disabilities live in isolated rural areas where disability related services are not available.
30 to 40 million children are not able to attend school because of their disablity.
In developing nations, 80% to 90% of people with disabilities of working age are unemployed.
Since 2001, EquallyAble has cared about empowering people with disabilities to live independent, fulfilling lives. We’ve cared by providing thousands of wheelchairs and assistive devices to those trapped in their homes without them. We’ve cared by helping start hundreds of small businesses for people to support themselves. We’ve cared by bridging gaps for children to get to school. Thanks to your support, we’ve changed the lives of tens of thousands of individuals with disabilities in 12 countries, one life at a time.
The CARES Initiative
EquallyAble periodically issues Requests for Proposals for nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, and community and civic groups to apply for funds under one of its programs. If you would like to receive notice of these RFP’s, please sign up here:
Also, although most of our program beneficiaries are screened and identified through the programs themselves, we do accept applications from and select a few exceptionally deserving beneficiaries directly.
If you feel you have an exceptional need and would like to apply for one of our programs, please use the link below. All applications are subject to the guidelines and rules contained on the application form.
